Started handmade washi production in 1974 under the guidance of his father, Yasukazu Kubota.
He has pursues the characteristic washi that makes the most of the Iwami climate, and He continue to preserve the Sekishu-hanshi techniques and skills Inherited by ancestors, and continue to make washi matches the current way of life.
He also devote his lives to training those who will carry on the traditions of Sekisyu washi in the future.
